LE PRADET: THE FRENCH RIVIERA THAT WE HOPE WILL BE
Abrupt cliffs and a large forest estate plunging into the sea have preserved the seven kilometres of Provençal coast that make up the Pradetan coast.
Once essentially a land of culture, Le Pradet, whose name means small meadow in Provençal (pitchoun prat), still preserves today, through these wine-growing, floral or market gardening farms, a certain peasant imprint.
On the sea side: from the rocks of the Baux Rouges to the cove of the Pin de Galle, the Pradetan coastline extends, in an arc of a circle, over 7 kilometres of coastline, dotted with beaches and intimate coves that reflect the wild spirit of the Var Mediterranean. A small, typically Mediterranean fishing port enhances the village's charms, the port of the "Oursinières".
On the forest side: over an area of 168 hectares, the hills of the "Colle-Noire" are the first western foothills of the Massif des Maures, the massif is a preserved green setting offering breathtaking views of the Toulon harbour, the Saint-Mandrier peninsula and Cap Sicié in the West as well as the double tombolo, the Giens peninsula and the Golden Islands in the East. Various hiking trails run throughout the Colle Noire massif and a botanical and geological discovery trail introduces visitors to the natural resources of its ecosystem.
An organic local farmers' market is still held on Tuesday mornings in the village square.

Among the sightseeing tours in the surroundings (max. 30 km), we suggest, among other things.... Around the house
Namely: With nearly 70% of its territory covered by forests, the Var is the second most wooded department in France and the first in terms of the variety of its species. |

Return of the French Grand Prix at Le Castellet :
After 28 years of deprivation, our circuit at Le Castellet (Var) has finally hosted the Formula 1 French Grand Prix, which itself made its comeback in 2018 to the World Championship calendar. A godsend for Provençal tourism in general and Varois in particular; an increase in the accommodation offer is already expected in hotel apartments, tourist residences, outdoor hotels or private rentals.
